IJzer memorial
Sculptured by Pieter Braecke.
It represents a woman, above a high column, turned away from the enemy, keeping the Belgian crown in her hands in a protective way. The four individuals round the memorial represent the resistance (represented by a blind man, an injured person, a sick person and a fighting soldier). It was inaugurated on 26th October 1930.
